Mah Jongg Classes and Games

We are excited to continue our Mah Jongg classes and opportunities to play for both beginners and
experienced players this spring. Pick the class that works best for you and join us for some fun, social,
and competitive gameplay. Come find out why this centuries-old game is the newest craze!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT CLASS

Tuesdays 9:30-11:30am or Monday Evenings 6:30-8:30pm

Practice makes perfect! The only way to get better at the game is to keep playing. This class is for
students who have taken a beginner Mah Jongg class, but want to practice their skills and build on their
knowledge of the game. Invite friends to sign up or come to find new partners.
This class includes (3) 2-hour sessions with an experienced instructor who will actively supervise play,
address questions and offer tips. Mah Jongg sets provided. Please note, participants are required to bring
the 2025 National Mah Jongg League card.

BEGINNER CLASS

Tuesdays 12:00-2:00pm

Learn to play Mah Jongg!

Our beginner class will introduce you to this exciting, social, competitive game that can be mastered with practice, strategy and a little bit of luck. This rummy-like game is played with a set of tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Learn how to assemble the tiles into specific patterns and formulate a hand based on an easy-to-read Mah Jongg card. Invite friends to sign up or come to find new partners.

Please bring your 2025 National Mah Jongg card with you if you have one. If you do not have one, cards will be provided for use during class for those who need it and the instructor can advise you on how to purchase your own.

This class includes (3) 2-hour sessions with an experienced instructor (mah jongg sets provided). A minimum of 6 people is required for this class.
