Blue Notes singing group

Founded over 60 years ago, the Blue Notes are a philanthropic group of women who volunteer their time and talent for a good cause. Singing music from Big Band to Broadway, the group performs in four-part harmony for senior centers, assisted living venues and for a variety of audiences throughout Southern Fairfield County. The Blue Notes are directed by Jon Hunt.

The DCA is proud to have the Blue Notes as a key part of our philanthropic mission.

If you enjoy singing in harmony, what better way to combine your philanthropy and your talent than to volunteer with the DCA Blue Notes?

For the 2016-2017 season, rehearsals begin on September 13th, with performances from late October through the holidays. The schedule is generally set for Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30pm. But it’s not all work – this is a very collegial group whose members over time form strong bonds.

The Blue Notes also show their interest in philanthropy with their membership in the DCA, where their funds help with the DCA mission, including scholarships for Darien High School graduates.

For information on membership in the Blue Notes and upcoming auditions, call the DCA at 203-655-9050 or Karol Lee Trismen at 203-656-1044/203-856-1544, or email us at
