Theater Bus

Our Theater Bus offers an easy way to catch a show, but also an 8:30am departure gives theater goers a head start on the day. Discounted Broadway theater tickets for Wednesday matinee performances and transportation by private bus are included in the price.

This year’s program will begin in October with the latest and greatest Broadway has to offer. So far we are going to see:

Wednesday, October 19th WAITRESS
Fresh from a sold-out run at Boston’s American Repertory Theater, WAITRESS makes its highly anticipated Broadway premiere. Funny, inspiring and surprisingly poignant, this irresistible slice of life features original music and lyrics by 5-time Grammy® nominee Sara Bareilles (“Brave,” “Love Song”), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland).

Tony winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful) is Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker in a small town who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town’s new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly’s beloved film, WAITRESS is an uplifting new musical celebrating friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie.

Wednesday, December 14 “The Front Page”
According to The New Yorker Fall Theater Preview: The news about newspapers is pretty bleak these days, so what better time to revisit the hardboiled, ink-stained, pre-clickbait era of yore? Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur were Chicago reporters before they wrote the smash hit “The Front Page,” which débuted on Broadway in 1928. The play, set in the bustling press room of a Windy City courthouse, has spawned multiple TV adaptations, films (including “His Girl Friday,” which gender-swapped one of the main characters, adding spice to the rat-a-tat repartee), and Broadway revivals. The latest, directed by Jack O’Brien, arrives at the Broadhurst Sept. 20, starring Nathan Lane, John Slattery, John Goodman, Jefferson Mays, and Sherie Rene Scott.

One more great show will be announced.
