Join the DCA for an afternoon tea!
Enjoy a quintessential British afternoon tea with freshly-baked and homemade goodies:
Dainty sandwiches to include cucumber,
Scones with jam and clotted cream,
A selection of seasonal cakes and pastries.
Local Darien Brit Carolyn Eddie has been offering afternoon teas to her friends in the area for years. She’s now bringing a proper British tea room to the DCA: a popular, regular event. These scrumptious afternoon teas are ranked among the “Top 5 Out Of 50 Ways to Rediscover Where You Live” in The 2013 Insider’s Guide to New Canaan, Darien and Rowayton, where they called the experience “Another Step Closer to Downton Abbey.” Photo above: Carolyn (red sweater) with her team, L-R: Robin Ackerman, Caroline Burke, Rebecca Lowden, Sue Hayes & Denise Cara.
Come and celebrate the Queen’s birthday and wish Carolyn Eddie good luck on her stint overseas! You’ll savor freshly-baked scones with jam and clotted cream, tea sandwiches, and homemade cakes and pastries, in the stately setting of our “Windsor Castle” – the DCA. Catered by the “fabulous girls” from Carolyn’s Absolutely Fabulous Events, who once again bring a proper British Tea Room to the DCA.
Have your photo taken with the Queen. Tables inside or out on the patio will be available, weather-permitting.
Reservations required by Tuesday, June 7th.
